Orthobion GmbH is a medical device legal manufacturer with design and development, production, manufacturing and distribution of medical implants and instruments based in Konstanz, Germany.
The Orthobion team combines decades of know-how from the field of spinal surgery, medical technology, medical education and training.
Orthobion GmbH develops and sells implants for the treatment of degenerative diseases of the spine. Along with metal implants, synthetic implants made of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) play an important role in treating degenerative diseases of the spine. Together with surgeons, material scientists, universities and their research departments, Orthobion GmbH investigates materials and methods of making artefact-free implants and fusion systems available to surgeons so that the healing process can be assessed precisely and without image distortion following successful surgeries.
The production of radiation permeable implants and fusion systems is another development milestone for Orthobion.
